The two most frequent causes of dry eye that I treat are medication or age related. Medications such as those for high blood pressure, allergy and anxiety tend to cause dry eyes. Of course, as we get older our eyes generally become drier, too. What makes you exceptionally well qualified to help dry eye patients? My sub-specialties in Contact Lenses and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation have provided me with the opportunity to treat some less common, but more severe types of dry eye. I try to use every available mode of therapy and combinations of treatments to get my patients comfortable in their contacts or to more effectively recover from a brain injury or stroke.
